The project “DIGITAL TIEPOLO,” funded by the Veneto Regional Program ERDF (PR FESR) 2021-2027 (DGR 339 of 29.03.2023), is born from the desire of the Palazzina to enrich the experience of visitors to Villa Valmarana ai Nani through the implementation of digital tools, and at the same time, to provide a virtual visit experience of the villa for those who cannot physically visit.
Villa Valmarana ai Nani is one of the most renowned and iconic 18th-century Venetian villas, with over 800 square meters of frescoes by the famous artists Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. The aim of the Palazzina is to be at the forefront of the technological and digital sector, enhancing its cultural offerings by facilitating the understanding of the cultural and artistic content of Villa Valmarana ai Nani for the public.
The project is divided into two sections:
- On one hand, it aims to introduce advanced virtual reality and immersive technologies to enhance the on-site visitor experience at the Villa, especially engaging children and young people through the use of tablets and headsets, with the goal of entertaining and educating in an engaging manner through a virtual journey into classical myths and chivalric poems, with interactive games and quizzes.
- On the other hand, it aims for global accessibility by making a virtual visit APP available remotely, with the possibility of attending events and guided tours offered by the Villa via live streaming. With this module, the goal is to expand the audience, including those who are unable to physically visit the Villa due to geographical, environmental, or physical barriers.
